This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the practices, management programs, labor requirements, reproduction programs, gestation periods, sanitation, health and disease control concerns of livestock management. The student will also gain background knowledge needed to comprehensively advise livestock producers on livestock production enterprises. Life size animal statues will be used to enhance learning. Each student will be expected to have a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program.
